Community BIFF 2026 brings the Busan International Film Festival to Nampo-dong, with outdoor films at BIFF Square and audience events at nearby venues. The Nampo programme runs from 8 to 11 October, with venues including BIFF Square, MEGABOX Busan Theater and Catholic Center Space 101.1.

For an English-speaking visitor, the key questions are simple: which events are free, which need tickets, and which films have suitable subtitles? Start with those decisions before choosing a restaurant or walking route.

Where do I need a ticket?

Community BIFF’s English ticket guide lists general screenings at ₩10,000, Cinephiles’ Strike Back at ₩15,000 and Happy Go Lucky Night at ₩25,000. The free outdoor programme is a separate option.

The listed ticket box is on the fourth floor of MEGABOX Busan Theater, operating 8–11 October, 09:30–20:00. Check the official guide for ticket-box hours around late screenings. Use the official booking details for your session and show the issued ticket, rather than a screenshot.

A suggested Saturday route: markets + a free film

This is our suggested plan for 10 October, built around the scheduled 15:40 outdoor event. Allow extra time for queues and follow the on-site seating arrangements.

1

Arrive in the Nampo area
Use Jagalchi or Nampo station as your starting point, then locate BIFF Square and check the actual audience arrangements before wandering further.

2

Have lunch before the event
Explore nearby Gukje or Bupyeong market streets. Choose a meal that leaves you time to return without rushing; keep the street-food crawl flexible.

3

Return for A Melody to Remember
The stage greeting and screening are scheduled for 15:40–18:04. Follow staff directions for the free audience area and keep a backup plan if it is full.

4

Dinner or a short evening walk
After the scheduled finish, stay in Nampo for dinner. Avoid booking an immediate Centum screening after an outdoor programme that may run late.

Make the neighbourhood part of the visit

Leave time for a snack stop at Bupyeong Kkangtong Market (부평깡통시장). Our local recommendation is Kkang Dwae Hu (깡돼후), known for fried pork. Use the storefront photo below to spot the shop, and allow extra time if there is a queue before your screening.

A Nampo festival day works best with one main event and a few flexible stops. If you would rather have a sit-down meal, use our gukbap guide to plan around a restaurant instead of arriving hungry at the outdoor audience area. If you want a quieter break, consider Bosu-dong Book Street when your schedule allows.

Coming from the main festival venues?

Plan the Centum-to-Nampo journey separately and check live routing. Combining a market walk, a full outdoor film and a late return is a substantial outing; leave breathing room in your itinerary. For rain or a programme change, choose an indoor alternative with confirmed access rather than assuming the outdoor event will move inside.
