A beach walk before breakfast. One more look at Gwangan Bridge after dinner. Or a full day exploring different neighborhoods. Where you stay sets the pace for your Busan trip.

My take: choose Haeundae for beach time, Gwangalli for evenings by the water, or Seomyeon for getting around the city. Start with the kind of trip you want, then find a hotel that fits.
Below, you’ll find the differences that matter, hotel picks from luxury to value, and the room details to check before you book.

A convenient city base without a sea viewSee the hotels →For a two-night visit, I recommend staying in one hotel. Unpack, get to know the neighborhood and spend your time enjoying Busan. A longer trip gives you more room to split city days and beach days.
Arriving at Busan Station? See the metro connections
Take Metro Line 1 from Busan Station to Seomyeon. For Gwangalli or Haeundae, transfer to Line 2 at Seomyeon.
For Gwangalli, compare the walk from Gwangan and Geumnyeonsan stations to your hotel. For Haeundae, check the hotel location before choosing your stop; Park Hyatt is in Marine City.
This is a connection overview. Check the final route and station exit for your hotel.
Haeundae hotels for a little extra comfort
SIGNIEL Busan
Make room in the itinerary to enjoy the hotel as well as Haeundae’s eastern beachfront. This is a pick for a vacation with breathing room. Booking for the sea view? Match the room name to the view you want. Rooms and offers

Start here for a vacation that leaves the afternoon open: a walk by the water, lunch, then time to relax. Check which spa facilities your package includes and their operating dates. Rooms and packages
Park Hyatt Busan
Think marina scenery, a leisurely dinner and time to enjoy the view. Its Marine City location gives this stay a different feel. Haeundae’s sandy beachfront is a separate trip, so allow for that if you plan to visit often. Rooms and views

Haeundae value stays for days out exploring
For a trip filled with beach walks, cafés and sightseeing, keep Youngmu Parade, Best Western Haeundae and Ramada Encore Haeundae on your list. Compare the same dates and room conditions; the best-value choice can change from one trip to the next.
Youngmu Parade
Trip.com guests praised the room space and beach access, while some reported cleaning or service issues. That mix makes recent room-specific reviews especially useful. City, partial-sea and ocean-view rooms offer different stays. Hotel website · Guest reviews
Best Western Haeundae
The convenient location comes up repeatedly in the reviews we checked. Choose it for easy access to Haeundae’s food and beach scene. There’s no pool or gym, according to the brand’s listing. Hotel website · Guest reviews
Ramada Encore Haeundae
A useful choice when your plans include other parts of Busan as well as the beach. Check the two walks you’ll use most: station to hotel, and hotel to the sand. Hotel website
Prefer a chain hotel? Add Shilla Stay Haeundae and L7 Haeundae. Check their rates for your dates before deciding they’re outside your budget. Breakfast and other package extras can affect the final comparison.
My rule of thumb: spend on what you’ll use. For early starts and late returns, location matters. For an afternoon with a book and no plans, a bigger room or a sea view might be worth the extra.

Gwangalli hotels for bridge views after dark
Gwangalli suits a trip where the evening is part of the attraction. Have dinner, walk along the waterfront and leave time to enjoy the bridge lights. Compare Kent Hotel Gwangalli by Kensington, Homers Hotel and Hotel Aqua Palace for this beach-and-view stay.
The detail that matters most here is the room view. A hotel’s beautiful bridge photo may show its rooftop or a different room category. Look for the view promised in your own booking, then check the walk from Gwangan or Geumnyeonsan station.
A bridge-view room makes more sense if you’ll be back early enough to enjoy it. If your evenings will be spent out, save the upgrade for dinner and enjoy the lights from the waterfront. Compare room views · See Kent rooms

Seomyeon hotels for food and easy exploring

Lotte Hotel Busan
Spend the day shopping and exploring, then leave time to enjoy a full-service hotel. Choose a package for the benefits you’ll use, rather than the longest list of extras. Hotel website
Busan Business Hotel
Its location near Lotte’s shopping facilities is a recurring positive in the Trip.com reviews we checked. A good fit for days spent out exploring; don’t book it expecting a memorable room view. Hotel website · Guest reviews
Arban Hotel
Several guests also praised the room space. Watch for no-window and ventilation-window-only categories when comparing rates. Search for Arban Hotel in Seomyeon; Arban City Hotel is a different property. Hotel website · Guest reviews
Leave one afternoon open for Jeonpo. Metro Lines 1 and 2 meet at Seomyeon, making it a useful base for exploring, but you don’t have to head far every day. Our Jeonpo café and side-street guide is a good place to plan a slower afternoon.
Five details to check before booking
- Your room. Match the beds, windows and view when comparing offers.
- The total. Include taxes, breakfast, parking and any facility fees.
- Recent reviews. On Trip.com or Agoda, look for repeated comments about your room type.
- The arrival route. Check the station exit and the walk with luggage.
- The cancellation terms. A lower price may come with less flexibility.
Still deciding between the beach and the city? For a short visit with sights across Busan, I’d lean toward Seomyeon. If the beach is the reason you’re coming, make Haeundae or Gwangalli your base.

Recommendations combine hotel information and selected 2026 Trip.com guest reviews, rather than firsthand stays at every property. Agoda reviews could not be read in enough detail to include in the research. Follow the links for room details and current rates.
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Busan is omitted because hotel replies on Trip.com mention plans to close at the end of 2026. Confirm future operations directly. The Gwangalli hotels above are not classified here as five-star hotels.
